What We Did

This project in Virginia Water, GU25, involved a complete transformation of an outdated bathroom into a stylish and functional wetroom, completed in just three weeks.

We began with a full strip-out, removing the existing bath, shower tray, basin, radiator, and all wall and floor tiles. Once the space was cleared, we carried out essential electrical works, including installing a new bathroom fan for improved ventilation and repositioning the shaver socket to better suit the new layout.

The ceiling was repaired by filling holes and cracks, then finished with two coats of mould-resistant bathroom paint. We also stripped old wallpaper from the walls, fully skimmed and sanded them, and applied multiple coats of high-quality bathroom paint for a clean, long-lasting finish.

To prepare the floor, we laid new plywood subflooring where required, followed by professional floor tiling, grouting, and sealing. Wall tiling was carried out in the shower area and above the basin, with careful attention to waterproofing and clean lines.

All plumbing was reconfigured to suit the updated design. We adjusted water and waste pipework for the new shower mixer, twin basins, and wall-hung toilet. The new fixtures, including a spacious walk-in shower with a glass enclosure, double stone basins with taps, toilet, and a wall-mounted towel radiator, were installed with precise plumbing connections.

Finally, we completed the woodwork by painting the window and applying two coats of satinwood paint for a crisp, durable finish. The result is a sleek, high-spec wetroom that blends classic style with modern functionality.

Final Outcome

The completed wetroom in Virginia Water reflects TipTop Builders Ltd’s commitment to craftsmanship, smart design, and client-focused execution. Every inch of the space was thoughtfully transformed to create a calm, refined atmosphere with a focus on comfort and usability.

Subtle design features, like the recessed mirror niche and traditional-style towel radiator, bring character without overwhelming the space. The symmetry of the double basins adds balance, while concealed pipework and clean lines keep the overall look polished and clutter-free.

Delivered on time and to a high standard, this wetroom is a perfect example of how we turn outdated bathrooms into beautiful, well-planned spaces tailored to modern living.
