Loft Conversion Wimbledon SW19

We started by erecting scaffolding and covering the roof to protect the property throughout the works. The old roof structure and tiles were carefully removed, allowing us to install new steel beams and joists to support the conversion.

A large rear dormer was constructed, set neatly below the ridge line, and three Velux windows were fitted on the front elevation to bring in natural light. The new structure was insulated with solid thermal boards and acoustic insulation, while the external elevations were finished with breather membrane, new tiles, and cladding.

Inside, we created a new ensuite bathroom equipped with LED lighting, extractor fan, towel rail, and stylish modern fittings. Electrical work included dimmable LED spotlights, USB sockets, and two-way switches for convenience. All pipework was neatly concealed, insulated, and vented according to regulations.

New stairs were installed to connect the loft with the first floor, and all walls and ceilings were plasterboarded and plastered smooth. Fire-rated doors, moisture-resistant plasterboards, and thermal insulation were fitted throughout to ensure full compliance and comfort.

Finally, we completed all painting and decorating, using high-quality, water-based, and moisture-resistant finishes for a clean, long-lasting result.
