Project Details

This project involved transforming unused space under the stairs into a fully functional cloakroom toilet. The goal was to maximise a compact area and create a practical, well-finished WC that adds convenience and value to the property. The works included building new walls, installing plumbing and electrics, fitting essential fixtures, and completing all finishing decorations.

Project Year: 2025

Renovation Timeline: 1 week

Location: Park Way, Feltham

Project Cost: £3,300

What We Did

Installation Works
We constructed new partition walls to shape the toilet room under the staircase and fitted sound insulation for better acoustics. Both sides were finished with plasterboard to create smooth, solid surfaces. A new door frame, door, and skirting boards were installed to complete the structure and ensure a clean transition into the new space.

Electrical Works
Our team provided a dedicated power supply for the macerator system. We installed suitable lighting and a new light switch to make the room safe, bright, and fit for daily use.

Plumbing Works
We brought in cold and hot water supplies to the new cloakroom, fitted a compact basin with a modern tap, and installed the toilet and macerator unit. All plumbing connections were carefully completed to ensure efficient performance and reliability.

Decoration Works
To achieve a high-quality finish, we plastered all newly created walls and completed the project with fresh painting to the walls and ceiling within the toilet area.

Final Outcome

The unused under-stairs space has been successfully transformed into a practical, modern cloakroom toilet. The room now features solid new walls, complete plumbing and electrical installations, and a clean decorated finish. This compact WC is both functional and stylish, providing the homeowners with added convenience and a clever use of awkward space.
