Project Details

This Bathroom Renovation in Twickenham TW1 required a complete transformation to create a modern, functional, and visually appealing space. The existing shower and fittings were outdated, and the layout needed upgrading to improve comfort and usability. Our goal was to rebuild the bathroom from the ground up, enhancing both practicality and long-term durability

Project Year: 2024

Renovation Timeline: 4 weeks

Location: Heath Gardens, TW1

Project Cost: £8,300

What We Did

Demolition & Preparation: We removed the existing shower, tiles, pipework, and all old fittings to prepare the space for a full renovation.
Carpentry: Built new partition walls with plasterboard and sound insulation, and installed a new door, frame, and lock.
Electrical Work: Updated all lighting, including spotlights and switches in the shower room and new lights and switching in the bedroom.
Plumbing Work: Adjusted and upgraded hot and cold water supplies and waste pipes. Installed a new shower mixer, taps, toilet, bath, and basin with all secure connections.
Flooring: Fitted an 18mm plywood subfloor, applied a waterproof membrane, laid floor tiles, and finished with grout.
Walls & Ceiling: Installed wall tiles halfway or full height, made surfaces good, painted where needed, and finished the ceiling with bathroom paint.
Windows: Installed a PVC window to provide natural ventilation and maximize natural light in the bathroom.

Final Outcome

The completed bathroom now features a refreshed layout, improved lighting, modern plumbing installations, and a new PVC window that enhances natural ventilation and daylight. Durable tiling, a waterproof floor system, and upgraded structural elements ensure long-lasting performance. The result is a stylish, comfortable, and functional bathroom tailored to the client’s needs—adding value, comfort, and a bright, airy feel to the home.
